Import users to the Service Account

Click on the underlined links to find out more.

Instead of creating a set of new user accounts in your Service Account, you may import users from your Outlook Contacts folders and Active Directory.

When the users are imported from your Outlook contacts, the system automatically generates a password for each newly created user, and the recorded e-mail address is set as the login e-mail of the new Service Account user. If an e-mail of the person is not entered in Outlook contact, Service Account administrator will need to enter the login e-mail and/or alternate login for the new user in the appropriate edit fields of the 'General' tab on 'User Details' form.

When the users are imported from the Active Directory, the system automatically generates a password for each newly created user, and the recorded e-mail address is set as the login e-mail of the new Service Account user. If an e-mail of the person is not recorded in Active Directory, Service Account administrator will need to enter the login e-mail for the new user in the relevant edit field of the 'General' tab on 'User Details' form. Alternate login of the user is taken from the Active Directory entry as is.

To inform the users that they have been added to your Service Account and provide them with their login data, you can simply click the Send or Send to All button on 'Import Users' form to automatically send an e-mail with the appropriate information to the selected or all imported users.

Note: However, Service Account administrators can edit the login information of the imported users at anytime on the 'General' tab of the 'User Details' form.
