How to apply the same synchronization and sharing settings to all subfolders

You can set the same synchronization and sharing settings for all subfolders of the selected folder, which have the same type as the parent folder.

Note: This option is available only if the folder has subfolders of the same type (e.g. if Calendar folder has Calendar type subfolders).

To set the same synchronization and sharing settings for all subfolders of the particular folder, do the following:

1. Select the folder on the Tree view of the Synchronization and Sharing Settings form and select Set same settings for all... check box at the bottom of the Synchronization Settings tab/Sharing Settings tab (e.g. Set same settings for all Calendar type subfolders, if Calendar folder is selected.)

2. Click the Apply button on the Synchronization and Sharing Settings form to save the changes.

3. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog. All synchronization and sharing settings that you have set previously will be applied to folder subfolders having the same type as parent folder. Now, when you select either of these subfolders on the Tree view, only one tab named Settings  will be displayed on the right pane.

4. Select the next folder you want to configure synchronization and sharing settings for, or click OK to exit the form.

For example, you may have an Inbox folder with one subfolder of the Contacts type and two subfolders of Mail type:

If you set synchronization and/or sharing settings for the Inbox folder and select the Set same settings for all Mail type subfolders check box, the subfolders Leo Brown and Sarah Lee will have the same synchronization and sharing settings (including all filters) as the Inbox folder.

Important:

This option is common for the Synchronization Settings and Sharing Settings tabs. So, if you select the Set same settings for all... check box on one of the mentioned tabs, it is selected on the other tab automatically. Note that if you have previously set up child folders for sharing on the Sharing Settings tab, but haven't set up parent folder for sharing, when you select the Set same settings for all... check box for the parent folder on the Synchronization Settings tab, sharing for child folders will be removed.

"Set same settings" option will always be applied for child folders of the selected folder in the future unless you clear this check box or unbind a child folder from parent folder.
