Filters For First Synchronization

When you set the folder synchronization settings for the first time, clicking the Apply or OK button opens the Filters for first synchronization form. First synchronization filters are designed in order to synchronize only those items which are necessary. If these filters are set for the folder during the first folder synchronization, folder items that match such filters are excluded from synchronization and will never be synchronized in the future. In this case folder items matching the first synchronization filters can be set up for synchronization again, only if the folder is resynchronized and these filters are changed during resynchronization.

You can apply particular synchronization filters for the following folder types:

• For Calendar type folders, you may choose not to synchronize Calendar items dated older than the indicated number of days (1, 3, 7, 14, etc.).

• For Mail type folders, you may choose not to synchronize e-mails modified earlier than a particular number of days ago.

• For Tasks type folders, you may choose not to synchronize Tasks which have the status "Completed".

If you want to apply the filter for first folder synchronization, select the preferred number of days from the combo box (for Calendar and Mail folders) and click OK.

In order to change filters for first synchronization, use the Resynchronize button on the Synchronization Settings tab.

Note: First synchronization filters are set to be applied by default, when the Filters for First Synchronization form appears for the selected folder. If you don't want to set filters for first folder synchronization, clear the Don't synchronize… check box and click OK.
